Most people come to Yoga looking for a great way to stay flexible, calm and mindful but those of us with a regular practice know first-hand how strengthening it is too. Especially for people born with loose ligaments, this aspect of asana practice is even more vital for its ability stabilize our joints and keep integrity through the whole body.

And a reminder that a tight muscle is NOT a strong muscle so even if you struggle to touch your toes, you will benefit from deep, focused stretching followed up with increasing true strength. It will make movement more comfortable in your practice and your life.
